About Our Church

Welcome to
Good Shepherd Community Church!

Good Shepherd Community Church (GSCC) was established in 1960 and we worship in the second oldest church building in Tracy. We are a multi-ethnic and multi-generational church dedicated to the study of the Word of God. We believe in the Holy Family of the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit and welcome YOU to be a part of God’s family too! At Good Shepherd Community Church you are important to us and we welcome you home!

God commands us to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. He also commands us to love fellow followers of Jesus because that love would identify us as belonging to Him. Do you think God is simply telling us how to feel about one another or how to “do life” with one another? We at GSCC believe that God’s Word is clear in defining love as an action that is to govern every area of our lives!

Ministries

Our ministries are facilitated by faithful members of the congregation who serve not as official leadership, but as coordinators and servants, working under the direct oversight of the Sr. Pastor. Each facilitator is entrusted with helping to carry out the mission of our church while submitting to the leadership, vision, and values of Good Shepherd Community Church.

All ministry facilitators serve as part of the body—not as governing leaders. The church holds to the biblical and constitutional structure that reserves leadership offices (Pastor, Elder, Deacon) for those qualified, examined, and affirmed in accordance with our Bylaws and Membership Covenant.

We believe every act of service—seen or unseen—matters to God. At Good Shepherd, we strive to serve with excellence, humility, and accountability, for His glory alone.

Biblical Discipleship Ministries

Our Biblical Discipleship Ministries are designed to equip believers to live out their faith with clarity, courage, and conviction. These gatherings are facilitated weekly in homes as part of our “Oikos” connection groups, at the church, and online to serve commuters, shut-ins, and families with young children. Each setting fosters intentional community, accountability partnerships, and deep engagement with Scripture. Rooted in sound doctrine and relational discipleship, these groups prioritize spiritual growth, life application, and walking closely with Jesus. All teaching content is prayerfully reviewed and approved by the Sr. Pastor to maintain biblical fidelity and unity in the body.
